While they were a bit above your budget (one was about $ 8000, the other around $ 9000 or $ 10,000) they are not the only IWCs available and I’m sure there are others that are just as nice. He never mentioned any of the other brands you listed which leads me to believe that none were up to par for him. As I respect his opinion of watches tremendously, I strongly suggest the IWC. They are classy, low-key, and very durable.Now for true heirloom quality, Lange & Sohne and Patek Philippe pieces are the utmost in style, class, and sophistication.
